Ronaldo será a imagem do PES 2008

Seguindo os passos de Thierry Henry e John Terry, Cristiano Ronaldo será a imagem oficial na Europa do Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 (PES 2008), o melhor simulador de futebol de sempre.

“Cristiano Ronaldo é o maior talento do futebol moderno”, disse, após a oficialização do contrato, Jon Murphy, director para o Reino Unido da Konami, a editora do jogo.

“Para mim não há outro jogo capaz de capturar a graciosidade e a técnica do futebol como o PES 2008. Cada elemento esbanja um pormenor incrível e, com o seu controlo próximo e ritmo acelerado, é a simulação do futebol real mais completa que existe”, considerou o craque português.

O PES 2008 estará disponível este Outono para a PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS2, PSP e Nintendo DS.

Cristiano Ronaldo has signed up to be the official European face of Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2008.

Famed for his good looks, Ronaldo's face will appear on both the game's packaging and marketing material across the UK.

"Cristiano Ronaldo is the most exciting talent in modern football," Konami spokesman Jon Murphy stated.

"It is fitting that a player with his incredible skill and poise is to join forces with a game that can thrill and challenge as much as the real thing. His obvious enthusiasm for PES 2008 will be channeled into the game, and we look forward to working with Cristiano in the coming months."

Ronaldo added: "For me there is no other game that can capture the grace and skill of football like PES 2008. Every element of the game is lavished with incredible detail, and with its close control and fast pace it is the most complete simulation of real football out there."

Pro Evolution Soccer 2008 will be released this autumn for PS3, Xbox 360, PC, PS2, PSP and DS.
