O Manchester United de Cristiano Ronaldo foi vencer ao campo do Charlton, por 3-0, em jogo da segunda jornada da Premiership, e colocou-se no topo da tabela, ao apresentar-se cem por cento vitorioso, neste arranque da competição.O Charlton aguentou o que pôde, mas não mostrou capacidades para contrariar o poder atacante da formação do internacional luso, que actuou durante os 90 minutos. O conjunto da casa conseguiu manter o empate até ao intervalo, mas Fletcher, aos 49 minutos, iniciou a caminhada para a vitória. Saha descansou o ManUtd ao fazer o 2-0, aos 80. Solskjaer fixou o resultado, quebrando um jejum que já levava três anos.

I congratulate ManU with a victory! The game was very interesting…but I didn’t like only that, that every Cristiano’s touching of a boll (predictably) has provoked a rumble of discontent…poor Englishmen still can’t to reconcile with the defeat in a match with Portugal…and now they pour out all their rage on Cristiano…certainly, easer to accuse somebody or something in your failure then to recognize yourself as the originator on it… even to lose it’s necessary to be able…to lose with advantage and to accept defeat adequately too…instead of to blame someone on it…it looks is simply insignificant and is a pity, well and it is unworthily too! All right, that I already "not in that steppe have called in" :) it is a pity, certainly, that yesterday Ron didn’t work to score a goal, but he created such good combinations with his comrades on a command, that it not time has led to a goal…and as I liked his distant impacts…a little at all didn’t suffice up to a goal…let Cristiano didn’t score, but he’s really well "has played on nerves" of opponents…shall wait for a following match that "to play on them again";)
